Uniform Patch Policy
For reasons of security, the North Aurora Police Department prohibits the sending, exchanging or trading of North Aurora Police Department uniform shoulder patches with any individual, group, business or organization other than sworn law enforcement officers or law enforcement agencies.
Officers or agencies interested in obtaining our department patch must make such requests on their department's official letterhead bearing the signature of the department’s chief executive officer. We will not honor or respond to requests made via email or fax.

Finger Printing
The North Aurora Police Department will fingerprint North Aurora residents that need fingerprinting for employment purposes. Fingerprinting for immigration purposes must be done by the Kane County Sheriffs Office, call 232-6840.
The following fees apply:
- $10.00 charge for Village residents – valid identification required.
- $30.00 charge for non-residents.
- $5.00 for each additional card completed – applies to everyone.
For security reasons, fingerprinting cannot be done when prisoners are being held. Fingerprinting hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, depending on staff availability.

Child Safety Seat Installations
Seats are installed by certified officers. An appointment is usually necessary for this service. Please call (630) 897-8705 during regular business hours for this service.

The freedom of information request can be mailed to the police department, but you must include your phone number so we can contact you when your request has been processed. Records will not be mailed.
