LEGAL NOTICE INVITATION TO BID PURCHASE TO 2012 WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM
Sealed BIDS for the 2012 WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM will be received by the Village of North Aurora at the Village Hall until the 25th day of January, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. and then at said office and time, publicly opened and read aloud.
The proposed work consists of 6-inch watermain with approximately 239 LF of 6-inch, 4380 LF of 8-inch and 1375 LF of 12-inch D.I.P. CL-52 watermain and water services, along with appurtenances and restoration. Improvements will provide adequate flow, water distribution and watermain protection on Poplar Place, Princeton Drive, Princeton Court, Cedar Drive, Banbury Road and Pierce Street in the Village of North Aurora.
The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined and obtained at the office of the Engineer, Rempe‑Sharpe and Associates, Inc., 324 West State Street, Geneva, Illinois. A deposit of $50.00, non‑refundable, will be required for each set of plans and bidding documents obtained. The Contract Documents will be available December 19, 2011.
All BIDS shall be submitted on the forms provided, and shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid, and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders.
The Village of North Aurora reserves the right to reject any and or all Bids, to waive any irregularities and informalities. Awards will be made to the lowest responsible Bidder as determined by the Village of North Aurora.
All applicable laws, ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the Project shall apply to the contract throughout including the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. Ch. 48, Sects 39s-1-12) and the Illinois Preference Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. Ch. 48, Sects. 2201-2207).
